Virginia Vehicle Inspection Program

Vehicle emissions inspections are required before the Depatment of Motor Vehicles will issue or renew registrations for most vehicles registered in the counties of: Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William and Stafford; and in the cities of: Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls, Church, Manassas and Manassas Park.

Virginia Vehicle Emissions Inspection requirement is only necessary in the Northern Virginia area. Therefore, Emissions Inspection Stations and Certified Emissions Repair Facilities are only located in the Northern Virginia area.
